Staying at Our Cambridge Home

Yes. Our home is family-friendly, with plenty of space to settle in and relax. A cot (600mm x 1200mm) can be provided if needed. We simply ask that guests are mindful that this is a peaceful residential neighbourhood.

No. The house is booked as a whole and enjoyed exclusively by one party, so it really does feel like your own home for the duration of your stay.

Absolutely. We aim to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable and at ease from the moment they arrive.

Yes. For the comfort of all guests, the house and the entire property are non-smoking, including the garden and all outdoor areas.

No. The house is in a quiet, family-friendly area, so parties, stag or hen bookings aren’t permitted. It’s very much a place to unwind rather than entertain.

To help keep the house comfortable for everyone, we ask that dogs are not allowed on the furniture. Guests are very welcome to bring their own dog beds. If you’ve forgotten one, a dog bed can be arranged for you at a cost of £30.
The back garden is a great space for dogs to stretch their legs and enjoy a game of fetch.
We kindly ask that all dog mess is cleaned up promptly and disposed of in the bins provided.
If our cleaning team need to remove any dog mess after departure, an additional cleaning charge of £15 per occurrence will apply.
Getting Here & Getting Around

Not at all. Many guests arrive by train and take a short taxi ride from Cambridge station. There are bus links into the city just a one-minute walk from the house, and taxis or Ubers into the city centre are typically around £10. (See our post on getting around Cambridge)
If you’d rather stay local, you can order takeaway or pick up groceries from the Co-op, around a ten-minute walk away.

Yes. There is on-site parking for one large car or two small cars. If this is full, there’s plenty of free on-street parking nearby. We just ask that you park considerately and avoid blocking neighbouring driveways.

Absolutely. Cambridge is made for cycling, with the city centre around five miles away. There’s space on site to store bikes securely. If hills aren’t your thing, e-bike hire is a great option.

The house is around five miles from Cambridge city centre and easily reached by bike, bus, car or taxi.
The House, Facilities & Accessibility

Yes. The house has fast, reliable 250Mb Wi-Fi. Mobile signal can be patchy on some networks, so enabling Wi-Fi calling is a good idea.

Yes. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing breakfasts and evening meals, with an oven, microwave and air fryer. You’re welcome to cook, eat out, or order in.
If you do enjoy takeaway food in the house, we ask that rubbish and food waste are disposed of promptly so the space stays fresh and welcoming.

We don’t offer catering, but you’ll find a simple welcome selection of porridge, coffee, tea and sugar to get you started.

Yes. There’s a lovely outdoor seating area which you’re welcome to enjoy when the weather is kind to us.

Unfortunately not. There is a step up into the house from street level, and all three bedrooms and the bathroom are on the first floor via a staircase.

Check-in is from 3:00pm and is self-check-in, so you can arrive at your own pace.
Check-out is 10.00amIf availability allows, we may be able to offer:
Early check-in from 2:00pm for £30
Late check-out until 12:30pm for £30
However, these options are strictly subject to availability and need to be requested 48hours in advance.

We’re always happy to help guests mark a celebration. With at least one week’s notice, we can arrange flowers, patisserie cakes, a bottle of fizz or balloons using trusted local suppliers.

A short-let is a stay that isn’t a long-term tenancy. This can range from a few nights through to several weeks or months, depending on availability and the nature of the booking.
