We offer a comfortable, well-run home for people who want somewhere calm and welcoming to stay in Cambridge for a few weeks or longer.
Our aim has always been to create a place that feels easy to settle into, somewhere you can unpack properly, cook a meal, enjoy some outdoor space and get on with day-to-day life, rather than feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. It’s very much a home, not a hotel.
That also means it suits people who are travelling with a dog and want somewhere that feels genuinely liveable, with space, a garden and a setting that works for both humans and pets, not just somewhere that technically allows them.
The house is particularly well suited to families, academics and professionals who value space, privacy and a relaxed residential setting. We focus on mid-term stays, and everything about the way the house is set up reflects that.

If you’re looking for somewhere you can live in, not just stay in, unpack, cook meals, enjoy a garden and live at a gentler pace for a few weeks or more, this tends to be a very good fit.
Living in Cambridge day to day
The house is warm, practical and thoughtfully furnished, with space to relax, work and spend time together. It’s set up to feel comfortable quickly, without fuss or formality.
There’s a private garden that’s especially appreciated by families and longer-stay guests and those travelling with a dog. It’s a calm outdoor space to sit, unwind or simply enjoy some fresh air at the end of the day.
Everyday amenities, local shops and cafés are close by, which helps guests feel at home and settled without needing to learn the city first.
The owners
The house is privately owned by Siobhan and Adrian, who have owned the property for over fourteen years. It was originally purchased to support a family member living in Cambridge and has since been carefully looked after and updated to suit longer, more settled stays.
While neither of us lives at the property, we’ve always approached it as a home rather than a short-stay space, focusing on comfort, practicality and ease of living.
Day-to-day hosting and care of the house is handled by our brilliant local co-host and property manager, ensuring guests enjoy a smooth, well-organised stay. While you may not meet us in person, we take pride in offering a warm, well-run place to stay and want every guest to feel properly settled and looked after.
Location, transport and everyday convenience
The location works well for both the city and the Science Park, with straightforward cycling routes, regular bus services and easy road access.
Guests can get around easily without relying on a car, while still enjoying the flexibility of having one if needed. Driveway parking alongside free on-street parking is a genuine bonus in Cambridge and makes day trips, commuting and visiting family much simpler.
Whether you’re commuting, attending a course or exploring the city and surrounding area, getting from A to B is generally simple and stress-free.
How we approach hosting
We’re intentional about the type of stays we welcome and place a strong emphasis on creating a calm, comfortable environment that works well for both guests and the surrounding neighbourhood.
From the way the house is set up to how stays are managed, our focus is on making things straightforward, reliable and pleasant, so guests can enjoy their time in Cambridge with as little friction as possible.
The house is not suited to parties or high-turnover stays and works best for guests who value calm, consideration and a residential pace of life.
